Cameron Stober is no stranger to Tigerville and North Greenville University, having earned two degrees from the university, completing his Sport Management degree in 2012 followed by his Master’s in Business Administration in 2014. Stober has worked with North Greenville University athletics since stepping on campus during his freshman year, and was a member of the school’s cross country team.
His experience goes beyond the trail though, having worked with the athletic department since his freshman year. First as a work-study, then with stints as an intern and as a graduate assistant with NGU athletic ops. His initial experience as a collegiate level coach was in 2012 as he began working with NGU’s track and field athletes during the inaugural season as a graduate assistant.
Coach Stober was hired as a full-time coach in January of 2014, taking over the cross-country program while assisting with the track and field teams. Stober officially assumed the position of head track and field coach in 2016.
Born and raised in Spartanburg, SC, Stober is an alumni of Dorman High School. He is the son of Randy Stober and Cindy Gregory, and his grandfather, Duane “Doc” Stober, served as the track and field coach at Wofford College in the 1970’s. Coach Cameron Stober currently resides in Inman, South Carolina with his wife, Haley. They have one daughter, Amelia Cate.
