The North Greenville Trailblazers were victorious in their 2024 season debut with a 1-0 victory over the Flames of Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. A defensive first half resulted in just two shots for each of the two teams. Lee turned up the attack in the second half, posting nine shots. However, NGU was able to make the most of their only shot of the half as Omer Gulmez found the back of the net with an assist by Nicolas Felix. The Flames put up five shots throughout the remainder of the match, but a save by Ricardo Marques preserved the shutout and the Trailblazers ultimately left Cleveland, Tennessee with the victory. 

Omer Gulmez posted his first collegiate goal. Ricardo Marques finished a complete match with four saves and a shutout. Renan Macuglia and Bernardo Vieira each put up a shot on goal.

North Greenville will return to action on Monday, September 9 against the Cavaliers of Montreat College in Montreat, North Carolina.
