Tigerville, SC - In a tightly contested soccer conference match at Pepsi Stadium, the North Greenville Trailblazers ended their 2024 season with a 1-1 draw with the Converse Valkyries. The Trailblazers needed to advance two spots in the KPI rankings to advance to the Conference Carolinas Tournament. Although NGU was able to advance one spot, it was not enough as North Greenville was the first team to not make the postseason tournament.

The match opened with a promising goal by Renan Macuglia at just 08:41 into the first period, delivering a solid lead early in the game. North Greenville would hold onto that lead throughout the remainder of the first half.

Things took a turn in the second period when Converse's Hayden Gensler leveled the score at 47:17, assisted by teammates Amro Shibeika and Guilherme Fontes. NGU and Converse ultimately settled for a 1-1 draw, ending North Greenville's season just one spot short of making the postseason.

With the season concluded, North Greenville posts a final overall record of 3-3-8 with a 1-3-8 record in conference play.
