NGU Falls in Double Overtime to Belmont Abbey

The North Greenville Crusaders narrowly fell to the Belmont Abbey Crusaders in double overtime with a final score of 1-0 tonight in Belmont, North Carolina. NGU had the edge in shots in the first half, but BAC were the aggressors in the 2nd half and would go on to win in controversial fashion with a penalty kick with three seconds remaining in double overtime. The two teams will face each other once again in Tigerville next Saturday to determine who will advance in the Conference Carolinas Tournament.
